Job Title:               Development Officer

Position Type:       Full time

NVLSP seeks a motivated Development Officer who will help spearhead development efforts as the organization continues to grow. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Development Officer will work to build the development function, creating systems to support the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors giving at all levels, while also playing a direct role in donor relations and gift solicitation. Bringing a blend of operational and relationship management skills to the development team, the Development Officer will promote new levels of engagement for current and prospective donors and help advance the culture of philanthropy across the organization. Specific responsibilities include:

The successful Development Officer will combine strong operational and frontline fundraising skills. S/he will be a strategic thinker and a keen designer and analyst of well-honed systems, someone who can create structures critical to the expansion of NVLSP’s development program. S/he will also be a strong relationship builder who can effectively manage major gift prospects and donors. The Development Officer will be passionate about applying all of these skills to NVLSP’s mission.
